Nonsense poems make no sense at all.


I think that’s why they call them nonsense.


For if a poem makes sense to one,


It would not make sense to call it nonsense.


But if the nonsense poem made nonsense,


Then we must call it sense, since nonsense twice equals sense.


However, if a nonsense poem did not make nonsense thrice,


We would call it nonsense as though it had made it twice.


Though if a poem made nonsense twice, it would make no sense to call it nonsense.


So now you can see, that nonsense poems make no sense at all.
