A LITTLE BIRD
This was Angela Dawne's first ever published attempt at poetry
BY ANGELAÂ DAWNE
If I was a little bird, with nary a care in the world,
I’d fly around,
Not touch the ground,
And watch men’s life unfurl.

~

For humans are such silly things, that worry ‘bout tomorrow,
They plant and buy,
Hurry and cry,

And worry ‘bout tomorrow.

~

If I was a little bird, I’d have not a care in the world,

I wouldn’t cry,

I wouldn’t lie,

Nor worry ‘bout tomorrow.
~

For God the Father would take care of
me, as He does His children,
Sadly they know not,
Or sadly they care not,
That their Father takes care of tomorrow.
~

Since I am not a little bird, without a care in the world,
I shall tell the children,
I shall tell women,
I shall tell the men,
I shall tell them the Good News of HIM!
